About

Amber Haley is a set decorator based in Los Angeles, California. She grew up just a couple hours south in La Jolla, and has spent time in Switzerland where her brother and his family live. She’s a member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Affiliated Property Craftspersons, Local 44, The Television Academy and The Set Decorators Society of America.

Early on, Amber liked working with numbers and could balance a budget extremely well. As time went on, she ended up in design— which makes sense since she comes from a family of artists and creatives on her mother’s side, including her mom who was an interior designer. For her, it comes down to the script when she’s choosing to work on a project. Amber has always been interested in people’s backstories and she loves to bring that to life through set decorating.

Throughout her years as a set decorator, she has worked on budget diverse films & TV shows. Most recently, Amber decorated Your Honor, The Mysterious Benedict Society, Solos, The People v. OJ Simpson, Barry, Insecure, The Romanoffs, 13 Reasons Why and The Politician. Her films include Hubie Halloween as well as reshoots for Murder Mystery. Besides Los Angeles, her work has taken her all over to locations including Las Vegas, Hawaii, Palm Springs, Mexico, Boston, New Orleans, and Mill Valley (Northern California).

Amber is married with one son who is studying Architecture at Tulane University. When she’s not decorating a set, she loves to play tennis, hop on the bike in a SoulCycle class, or go for a run. Amber ran the Paris Marathon which she is still so proud of accomplishing today. In addition to playing tennis and being a big fan, she is a certified USTA official. Amber also enjoys volunteering with the Assistance League, hanging out with her dog, Kobi, and running her prop house called A2 Decor.

Amber is so proud to have been nominated for 8 awards over the course of her career. From those nominations, she has won an Art Directors Guild Award and an EMMY (CAFE) award.
